BEAUTY OF SARGASSUM

BEAUTY OF SARGASSUM

Lorna B. Wilson’s artistic career took off in 2010, when she joined a fundraising group- exhibition for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. The positive response to her submission encouraged her to develop her talent through courses and workshops and ultimately dive into the world of art on a fulltime basis. Wilson’s lifelong fascination with the ocean has been an enduring inspiration and much of her work celebrates the beauty of the marine environments surrounding her native Barbados. Always endeavoring to paint the overlooked, unseen and rejected - as in The Beauty of Sargassum displayed at the Indigo - she seeks to reveal the hidden beauty in everything. Wilson thus aims to not only capture the wonders of the ocean and the life teeming within it.
