Water vortex series (4 of 4)

Barbadian artist Chris Welch works in painting, photography and digital media, especially known for video works and interactive installations, which explore the relationship between art and Artifical Intelligence. Welch is, however, also a seasoned surf photographer and the never- before-shown Water Vortex series (taken at great risk to the photographer) stunningly captures the extremely transient formation of rib vortices under breaking waves. Welch’s work has been shown at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, LightboxNYC; Berry Campbell Gallery, New York; and, in Barbados, the Gallery of Caribbean Art; Queens Park Gallery and On the Wall at Limegrove. His clients include US Soccer, Brian "de Action Man" Talma, the Caribbean Development Bank, Sandals Barbados.
